In 2012, Xtek acquired Avon Engineering in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to expand our capabilities for custom engineering below-the-hook lifting equipment and floor based material handling equipment. Avon designs, manufactures and reconditions below-the-hook lifting devices, floor based material handling systems, coil handling equipment for steel mills, aluminum mills, mineral processing, paper mills, and many other heavy industrial applications.

Avon employs state of the art tools to custom engineer, upgrade and evaluate your equipment, no matter the manufacturer. Avon Engineering is also ISO 9001 certified, and all below-the-hook products provided are designed, manufactured or reconditioned in accordance with ASME B30.20 and BTH-1 Specifications. Avon Engineering service engineers are also available to inspect and certify your equipment.
