    • Xtek has multiple opportunities for machinists at our Cincinnati facility. Experience is a plus with very competitive compensation for individuals with demonstrated skills. We also provide a robust training program for our entry-level positions. Xtek has a long history of developing non-machinists who have the desire and ability to learn. Our factory has a wide range of equipment from manual lathes to the most sophisticated digital machining centers.

    • Xtek is seeking additional personnel for our growing Field Service business. Ideal candidates will have experience with maintaining and servicing heavy industrial equipment. A background as a millwright, field machinist or welder is a definite plus. The position includes:

      • installing, repairing, removing gearboxes, industrial drive trains and processing lines
      • travel to US-based customer sites (30-50% travel)
      • when traveling, paid per diems plus hourly travel premiums for all regular and overtime work.
      • for non-travel periods, work and train at our Cincinnati facility as part of the regular Service and Maintenance groups

      Reports To: Heat Treat Supervisor

      General Summary:
      This position is an entry level position in the heat treat area. The person who fills this position will learn the basics of heat treating while assisting others and performing crane duties.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Loads and unloads furnaces while in the cab of the overhead crane.
      • Assists others in preparing product for furnaces which includes:
        • Positioning and loading parts onto furnace fixtures
        • Setting up products with appropriate lifting/handling fixtures
        • Wrapping
        • Painting
        • Protecting products for carburizing, hardening and quenching cycles
      • Any other duties as laid out by Heat Treat Supervisor or Metallurgy Manager

      Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Good oral and written communication skills
      • Quality & Safety Systems (ISO9001 & ISO14001)
      • Maintain 5S standards in department.
      • Work outside of primary responsibilities to help others in department as needed.

      Education and Experience:

      • High School graduate or equivalent minimum education.
      • Some Heat Treat experience is a plus but not a requirement.

      Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

      General Summary:
      Operates industrial trucks and overhead cranes/hoists to re-position materials for operations support and logistics functions.  Provide support for the general logistics group including part movement, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Collects and delivers materials, parts, products for operations support between buildings and departments.
      • Supports operations with bin and scrap movement.
      • Loads and unloads trucks with proper follow up on paperwork and documentation.
      • Complete information in AX and inventory systems for proper tracking of materials.

      Other Responsibilities:

      • Packs finished and wrapped products in containers for shipment. Verify correctness of product from paperwork and in AX.  Enter and retrieve information in AX for packing instructions and final dimensions.
      • Build basic crates and pallets from wood and other materials for part storage and shipment.
      • Maintain equipment used for good operation and safety. Maintain appearance of logistics and production working areas.

      Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Working knowledge of the inventory transaction process in Microsoft Dynamics AX pertaining to movement of parts for the production process
      • Ability to use overhead cranes and hoists. Ability to operate fork trucks.
      • Ability to operate equipment for constructing crates.

      Education and Experience:

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • 5 years of experience or equivalent

      Reports To: Manufacturing Support Supervisor

      General Summary:
      Perform general facility equipment and grounds inspection and maintenance. Perform general equipment and facilities repairs and assist in larger repairs. Provide assistance to maintenance technicians and management on maintenance projects and repairs.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Equipment inspection and preventative maintenance from maintenance documentation. Perform general repairs and assist with more complex repairs as necessary.
      • General facility inspection and preventative maintenance from maintenance documentation. Perform general repairs and assist with more complex repairs as necessary.
      • Perform routine maintenance tasks as part of the preventative maintenance program
      • Perform general equipment repairs and assist technicians on larger repairs.
      • General assistance with the maintenance operation as necessary through equipment and facilities projects
      • Perform troubleshooting on equipment with assistance from other technicians as necessary.
      • Trains with outside technicians on maintenance projects and equipment repairs.
      • Gain experience and progress on technical ability to diagnose and repair equipment and facilities issues.

      Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Ability to be attentive to the surroundings of an industrial environment and work safety within this facility.
      • Good oral and written communication skills.
      • Understanding of Quality and EHS systems.
      • Working knowledge of the maintenance system in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
      • General mechanical and electrical knowledge of industrial machinery and an industrial facility.
      • Ability to understand and follow engineering and maintenance prints, procedures, standards, and documentation.
      • Ability to use overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and hoists. Fork truck operating certification.

      • High school diploma or equivalent
