Xtek is currently hiring for the following positions at our Cincinnati headquarters

    • No experience is required!
      Department: Heat Treat
      Shift: 3rd 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Loads and unloads furnaces while in the cab of the overhead crane.
      • Assists others in preparing product for furnaces which includes:
        • Positioning and loading parts onto furnace fixtures
        • Setting up products with appropriate lifting/handling fixtures
        • Wrapping
        • Painting
        • Protecting products for carburizing, hardening and quenching cycles

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Fabricates fixturing for furnace room operations.
      • Sets controls for furnaces to run on automatic program.
      • Loads and unloads furnaces.
      • Prepares product for furnaces which includes:
        • Positioning and loading parts onto furnace fixtures
        • Setting up products with appropriate lifting/handling fixtures
        • Wrapping
        • Painting
        • Protecting products for carburizing, hardening and quenching cycles
      • Continually monitor furnaces and controls for faulty operation.
      • Uses auxiliary measurement devices to confirm and/or certify proper furnace operation.
      • Selects product compatibility for furnace batching.
      • Operates furnace room auxiliary equipment (quenches, draw furnaces, blaster, etc.)
      • Selects, sets, and runs furnace on program operation.
      • Monitors furnace set points (time, temperature, ramp rates, atmosphere, etc.) and controls and has the ability to override the furnace program operation and adjust the set points manually.
      • Performs carbon bar analysis which means knowing how to operate and clean the carbon determinator.
      • Performs etched case depth analysis on coupons.

    • Xtek has multiple opportunities for machinists at our Cincinnati facility. Experience is a plus with very competitive compensation for individuals with demonstrated skills. We also provide a robust training program for our entry-level positions. Xtek has a long history of developing non-machinists who have the desire and ability to learn. Our factory has a wide range of equipment from manual lathes to the most sophisticated digital machining centers.
