In 1995, Xtek opened our dedicated repair facility, staffed with skilled craftsmen and engineers, trained in servicing the applications that utilize our wheel, gear and coupling products. Our emphasis is on making our customers' assemblies or components work better. A methodical approach is taken to identify the cause of failures and to develop solutions that result in improved service. The following are areas of concentration for our repair business: Gearboxes & Gearing Repair Xtek services all OEM gearboxes. Spur, helical, herringbone, bevel, spiral and worm gearing. Our emphasis in on parallel shaft gearboxes, weighing 1,000 to 100,000 pounds. Gear Couplings & Universal Joints Xtek provides the most comprehensive coupling maintenance program available in the industry today. Crane/Track Wheel Assemblies The complete crane wheel and track wheel assembly, to include end trucks, repaired to OEM specifications, plus the added advantage of an Xtek contour hardened crane or track wheel. Main Mill Drive Gearing For rolling mill drives and gearing, our repair and reconditioning services are the most comprehensive available. Rope Drums New and repaired rope drums for crane applications. Xtek offers our TSP carburized and hardened rope drum design, along with flame hardened and annealed drums. Mill Screw & Nut Assemblies New and repaired mill screw and nut assemblies which employ improved metallurgical and design practices. Engineering Services Xtek's engineering team offers failure analysis, reverse engineering, upgrade design, on site inspections, along with installation and breakdown support.
