Hot Strip Mill Edger Rolls

Xtek has developed a special hot working die steel grade specifically for use for the hot strip mill edger rolls. This material, with its high thermal fatigue strength and its excellent resistance to firecracking, has proven to improve campaign life and reduce required stock removal during refurbishing.

Reversing rougher applications can particularly benefit from the use of Xtek edgers. Improved hot wear resistance over standard edger grades allows the roll face to maintain shape longer, leading to improved edge shape, ultimately leading to better hot band quality.
